George,
"usurp Static's power"
"Who does he think he is anyway?"
"I am your King!"
"Well I didn't vote for you."
How can I usurp someone's power when he has no
legitimate authority over me (or anyone else) anyway?
Seriously, the only power he obviously has is that you
(and others of your persuasion) have given him.
"3rd Edition barely is (sic) a product?" Hmm that's an
interesting idea. Since I won't waste my time and
anyone elses trying to "defend" 3e from the Righteous
Legions of 2nd Edition AD&D Followers, I'd just like
to point out that at this point 3e is the ONLY D&D
product. 2nd Edition AD&D is no longer a product, as
it is no longer in (and here's the key word)
*production*. You may not understand or agree, but the
majority of the RPG community is moving on, and if
Spelljammer is left as a 2e compatible product -only-
it will fail to capture the interest of those old
(like me - 21 yrs thank you) and new (like my wife)
D&D fans alike.
George, I'm not going to get into a flame war with
you, despite your fairly obvious efforts to move the
discussion I've initiated towards that end. If you
want to argue with somebody, you'll have to find
someone else. I'm throwing a little chaos into the
stagnant pool here and trying to help the Spelljammer
setting evolve from a *dead* product to a living one.
If you don't agree with my efforts that's fine, but
let's have an *intellectual* discussion about it, not
a flamewar-based insulting one.
