WotC released an Alternity/Dark·Matter product called Final
Church in this form (PDF only). I'm not sure how well it worked
out/sold. I do remember a lot of complaints on the D·M list about
the hassles involved in printing/binding, and one must consider the
problems of the ESD delivery mode. That is, you limit your
audience to credit card bearing Windows PC users in a limited
area with internet access. I think, at least as things are now, it's
simpler for them to continue to make old fashioned paper products.

This doesn't mean that the idea of electronic products doesn't
have merit. S John Ross and his company Cumberland Games (
www.cumberlandgames.com ), which I strongly recommend
gamers take a look at, seems to do well in that regard. I have all of
their products, and they're pretty spiffy. Elements from things like
Points In Space can be adapted to Spelljammer without too much
work.

Cheers,
Matt.
