        True, but bugs are also really small.  Their habitat is capable of
sustaining millions of little bugs.  Because they're so small, they have
a minimal brain (like only a few hundred brain cells).  They survive on
basic instincts.  Huamn-sized bugs (like kreen) would by their nature
need lower reproductive capabilities to keep from over-running the land
quick and starve to death :)

        Basically, ya.  D&D suffers from the same problem of "funny nosed
humans" that Star Trek suffers from.  Partially, that's a problem from
mythology (most creatures were vaguely human or a cross of two
creatures).  And it's really hard to make a believable insect creature
(and roleplaying an intelligent insect isn't easy, either:)

        Entries where?  Official material has some, and other articles lay
scattered across the web.  I've seen a couple of MC sheets for bugmen,
and a settlement or two, but not a whole lot.  Best place to find info
on Kreen would be Dark Sun, while the antmen where at least somewhat
popular with planescape and aranea in Mystaria.
