Greets,

In our last episode, George Lavalle said:

Wow, where did you find that old thing? :) Havn't used it in...
umm... over five years, I think.

Yeah, I'm a Moorcock fan, but I've had a hard time reading his
non-Elric stuff. It was the first of my "catching up with the classic
fantasy and sci-fi I missed out on while reading Dragonlance" project,
and it sticks out as a difining change in my reading style. (Havn't been
able to stomach most of the TSR novels since then.)

As for the NIGHTMARE Company... that's a long, long, long, *long*
story. The *very* short version is it was something my friends and I
made up in high school. Aah, kinda miss those simple days, when going
by "Nighthawkk" was cool and original. :) Nowadays I can't even register
the name Static 'cuz it's already taken everywhere. Maybe I should start
using Kiirl again...

To tie this in with SJ, I recently found what I think is the
source of a rare SJ monster -- the Zat (from Practical Planetology).
I was reading Swords in the Mist (Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser series
by Fritz Leiber, part of my "catching up with the classics" reading),
when, on page 96 lo and behold! A reference to some creatures called
Zats, who drift around propelled by sunlight on their shiny wings.
(Don't have the book here, so that may be off a bit.) I havn't been
able to find my Practical Planetology, but I'm almost positive the
description fits.

<beep> We now return from this trip down amnesia lane to the
regularly scheduled program, already in progress. <beep>

Don't mistake indifference for an open mind.
