Ouch. A planet without tides too. Every month, I suppose. Every three or
four weeks, you know. We are talking about a CURSE. It's not going to take a
vacation for lack of a moon. (Or, it's possible the moon beneath which he
was infected would govern his transformations, as previously mentioned.)
There probably wouldn't be any ordinary lycanthropes naturally arising on
such a planet, though.

The natives would probably consider the planet their moon anyway, so they
would transform night of the full earth. Or something like that.
