        I'd really dismiss such mentions as being misinformed or unfounded
rumors; both worlds have deep histories involving the "fall of the drow"
(though FR's history is much more extensive).  In Evermeet (novel),
there's an "out" that allows both to rise independently (Lolth
"discovers" Toril long after problems have arisen between the drow &
elves, and it seems to indicate that such wars were happening across
many worlds at different times).
