Greets all,

Hope you all had a splendid All Hallow's Eve. :)

Since it seems we need to have RPGA members for this project, and I'm
interested in contributing, even a little bit, I've joined as well as a
Fellow [or whatever the freebie membership is called] and my ID is 829567.

I intend to join as a Guild-level thingie once, or even if, it becomes clear
to me that WotC will, in fact, begin featuring Living Spelljammer as a new
setting. We all may recall what a hack I am when it comes to big business
and The Man screwing up all that's good about the world, so they won't be
getting any cash from me until it becomes clear that our heartfelt efforts
will be endorsed. *wink*

Quickie comments about how the sphere[s] idea is going:

>Besides, having the sphere include Spiral makes it fit
>in with the novels, where Bral and Spiral are in the same sphere, and I
>think we'll want to avoid as many contradictions with the material as
>possible (and iron out the contradictions between different SJ
>products...)

I agree. Having some ties to previous published info will keep us anchored
in canon lore, and maybe, one day, will open the spheres of Toril et al. to
Spelljammer once more. Hey! We can dream....

Also wanted to put in my vote for multiple, differently-genre'd spheres, at
a greater distance from each other than the old books state.
The ones offered so far seem great... maybe the thrid sphere, which seems to
be having the most time finding it's concept, can be the one where all the
freaky races from SJ came from?

Otherwise, IIRC from the threads, it seems unsure whether the "frontier
sphere" and the "ruins of the ancient civilization" sphere are seperate or
one and the same. What was the decision? I also wanted to pipe up that the
whole Unhuman War is just too neat of an idea to let die; can not the
"ancient ruins" sphere have something to do with that? Maybe a great Mythal
ceremony closed it [the sphere] long ago so the elves could concentrate on
eradicating the goblinoids [which of course, they failed at, heheh], after
it became clear to the elves that outside influences were either assisting
the gobbies, or diluting their racialy-pure military and prolonging the
conflict? Someting of this sort... I guess the poor Vodoni are gonna be
written out, though, or at least it seems so to me. Drat.

Be well,

~ADA~
