It would be a far easier conversion than GURPS.  3E preserves many
but not all of the assumptions behind 2E and admits to a fair degree
of customization to bring its version of Spelljammer more into line
with its 2E version.  However, the same cannot be said of GURPS
-- it truly is a different game system built on totally different
assumptions.
