Of course, a lot may depend on how the 2E rules were tweaked to
accommodate Spelljammer -- there may be some features of the
setting that were an awkward kludge in 2E but would work quite
smoothly under 3E.
As I see it, the main inconsistency between Spelljammer and 3E
is that various races differ in their spellcasting (and therefore spell-
jamming) ability, so you cannot blindly apply the 3E default of
"all races can be all classes". But I had pretty much understood
that race/class restrictions in 3E were meant to be part of the
individual settings and not part of the rules anyway.
