Other than NPCs, I doubt it's really a huge deal. Ship format isn't
going to change. Spells are fairly convertable, as are magic items.
Sphere descriptions shouldn't be changed at all. I don't play around
writing a whole slew of house rules (not any more, at least), so that
doesn't bother me. We haven't seen a full-blown SJ adventure put on the
net in years. Over the next couple of weeks people will probably
develop several methods of incorperating the new combat methods into
ship combat (but my gut instinct tells me that it'll make ship combat
more complicated that I'd want to deal with). Other than odd-ball
NPC-classes (one part of 3e I'd convert to 2e if I decide to stay 2e),
3e won't affect my writings all that much. Most of the discussions I've
seen are just opinions on 3e itself and suggestions on using things in
everyone's game.
