First of all the errata on the Cruiser:
The earthling cruiser needs 4 people per each torpedo launcher, the
torpedoes do critical damage on a roll of 18+, the Skis are not used thru
riggings, the ropes have the oly purpose of holding people in place, rather
they are used by crew members like surfs boards, finally the gravity plane
is just under the Skis. The tube section of the Cruiser does have several
holes for firing with the ballistas, that's just one thing i forgot to
mention. Also, the Cruiser is very fragile, each "ship shaken" critical is
also an extra 5 hull points of damage, and a "hull hole" is an extra 10
Hull points of damage, both the damages are in addition to normal critical
results.
If anybody wonders about the average speed i put over there, that's because
in SC there rarely are boarding attacks, and thus most fights are between
ships rather than crews.
Moreover usually there are no "derivate" plan for the ships because they
were all intended to be war vessels (except a few ones like the melnorme
trader) and also because the complete set of vessels just from SC1 & SC2 is
composed of 26 vessels, with many new additions in SC3, thus i had very
little time to think of other vessels for each race.
Some famous Cruiser captains are: Adama, Belt, Buck, Decker, Ender,
Friedlan, Graeme, Halleck, Kucera, Pike, Pirx, Spiff, Trent, Tuf, VanRijn,
Wu.

The Androsynth Guardian is a masterpiece of a ship. Unlike the Human
Cruiser, this vessel has been made of the best creation of human mind. The
ship looks like a reddish ceramical cylinder with metal circles at even
intervals ending with an emisphere (which is the aft portion). From the
cylinder (which is also where the crew is stationed) there are 8 metal
tubes which are the extension of the Acid Bubble Inducer. The acid bubble
inducer is a marvelous machine able to create acid bubbles that will act as
a sort of minefield, since the Guardian can leave them in a certain exagon
and then moove away from them. The guardian itself is built to be immune to
acid, and thus can safely travel into such areas. The bubbles that come
from the Acid bubble inducer deal 1 hull point of damage each, and are able
to slightly follow ships and thus they will strike with a -4 to hit even if
the ship passes in the hex directly adijacent to the one occupied by the
bubbles. Bubbles have a THAC0 of 20 and will cause criticals on a hit of 20
One round thereafter the acid left will do an extra 1d2-1 hull points of
damage [that's 0 or 1]. Whenever the ABI is used, it leaves 8 bubbles in
the hex occupied by the Guardian at the end of round. Bubbles disolve in 1
turn thereafter or whenever any bubble tryes to hit a ship (except for the
guardian in the round it leaves them). Bubbles will deal 2d4 acid damage to
crew on open decks, and another 1d4 damage on the next round.
The guardian also has another terrible waepon: the Blazer Engine. While
tecnically the blazer engine is another propulsion system, Androsynt use it
to reach normally unattainable speeds and then ram into other ships. The
ship itself encases into a ball, by connecting the various metal rings
which will slide into position covering the crew from the deleterious
effects of the blazer engine. The engine needs a different helmsman to be
operated, and cannot work for a long time, in fact it uses a special fuel
to work, plus the helmsman powers. The engine itself is at the fore end of
the red cylinder, and the helm is a special one, whith several tubes
running from it into this steam engine-like work. In fact the engine itself
is made out of a metallic cylinder filled with magically restrained
phlogiston and the tubes will actually raise the temperature inside of the
cylinder thus making the plogiston burst into terrible flames. The second
helmsman must make a system shock check not to faint while exposed so
closely to the heat of the cylinder, If the helmsman faints, the ship will
still continue to stai in comet form for the remaining time, but can only
advance in a straight line. Outside of the protective metal sphere the ship
itself will become a hell of flames [there is no real difference if the
ship is in phlogiston or in wild space.] created by the phlogiston erupting
from the front of the ship and directed towarsd the rear, this makes the
ship into a comet like form, thus earning it the "comet" or "Blazer" Nick
name. While in this form, the ship has an increased meneuvrability and
reaches normally unattainable speeds. The ship cannot fire its bubbles
while in blazer form, moreover, each container of the phlogiston can only
contain enough to be used for three times. Each container occupies one full
ton of the ship cargo and substituting the cylinder requires the work of at
least 8 people for one turn. The second helmsman that pilotes the ship
while in blazer form requires at least two full rounds of rest before using
the blazer engine again, and can use the engine for no more than two full
rounds each time. The ship comes to a full stop as soon as the blazer
engine stops working and remains immobile for one full round before the
first helmsman can regain control of the ship. While ramming in blazer
form, the Guardian inflicts 5 extra hull points of damage due to fire,
ships immune to fire damage (such as the ilwrath avenger) suffer normal
damage. Using the comet form 3 times worsens the air quality aboard the
Guardian by one step. While an exausted cylinder containing the phlogiston
could be trown away to gain space for storing stuff while returning after
a trip, it seldom happens, since the cylinder requires precious magics
works to be buiolt and thus there seldomly is something enough valuable
that needs such drastical things to happen.
