for boarding situations, i always play int according the the ships size, the one wanting to the boarding. if their even sized, a ram followed by grappling hoks to hold the ship down. i use the damage critical ship damage rules (altered for this purpose) to determine if the ship can try to runaway, usually not. for a few minutes, in that time theres the whole try to cut the ropes try to keep pulling the ship in exchanges. it ussually works out for me. for smaller ships. which have no business tring to board a large ship anyway (crew differences) i just have the ship do one of those crash/ram manevers, and get as many who survive the attempt aborad before the other ship leaves which it might not from the damage, depending on the size differences. ---Original Message--- > An excellent point.
