I would not normally get this off topic on the list, but I believe
Crusade has alot in common with Spelljammer. Both mix elements of sf and
fantasy althought Crusade, like Star Wars, is sf with some fantasy
elements rather than fantasy with elements inspired by sf like
Spelljammer is.
What I really liked about Crusade was the great characters. I dont
remember their names, so bear with me, but that thief knife woman was
straight out of fantasy and coulda walked right out of Spelljammer.
Also, technomages were always very interesting and... whatever his name
was was very neat. One of my favorite episodes was the one with the
other technomage and the dragon... that was spectacular. It had a
fantastic half of a first season, unlike B5 which had a mediocre first
season and then an excellent next 3 seasons and a good last season. The
show had alot of potential and I very much would like Crusade to
return... alas, gone the way of Spelljammer...

(QUOTE Andy Miller
Ugg, Crusade. That show was so...dry. Not many characters that
were
really interesting (I so wish they had kept Marcus and had him &
Ivoniva
command the Excaliber). The B5 saga saw it's height at about the
middle
of the 3rd season, then slid into an abyss after that. Too bad money
issues killed it mid-season. The Shadow War was pitiful in execution.
Ah well, sci fi seems to be on a decline as a whole :(
