Subject: Re: Jammers:Dramatis Personae PCs
This is a list of the PCs and NPCs who are or have been members of the
Company of the Silent Star. The Company is the main protaganist within the
Jammers PBEM campaign (summaries of this game are posted to the Spelljammer
list as Fan fiction).

COMPANY OF THE SILENT STAR

Deigatt ors Karasivin: A tall, brown-skinned minotaur fighter/mage from the
planet Geb in Tauruspace. A trained soldier, Deigatt has had trouble
dealing with the dishonesty and lack of discipline characteristic of other
demihuman races, but he has come to accept that not everyone is fortunate
enough to be a minotaur. One of the original members of the Company of the
Silent Star, Deigatt is loyal to the success of the company as well as the
protection of its members. He keeps his disdain for religion in check when
dealing with those of the priestly persuasion. He also hates taking baths.

Ferric: A fairly handsome 19 year old man who looks to be human but with
ash-grey skin. Hearty and well muscled Ferric towers over most humans at
6'6". His movements are smooth and flowing as he walks and bespeak of
impressive grace despite his size. Lightly armed and armored Ferric wields
a rapier and depends on speed and agility to prevent himself from being
hit. He works for the Lady Moune who adopted him when he was left on her
doorstep as a baby. Ferric now travels with the Company of the Silent Star
as Lady Moune's representative so he can learn more about people and the
worlds around him and become more useful to her in the future.

Nilaroo: This gromman is a quiet soul, speaking little when gestures could
convey the same. Some might put this down to a poor command of common, but
he can be quite articulate as needed. He is never happier than when working
on a ship. He stands just under 5 feet, but weighs over 400 pounds (1.3
meters, 195 kg for you metric types). He moves with a grace and speed that
belies his massive size.

Billy "Two-Thumbs": This good-natured halfling is tall for one of his kind.
Standing just over the three and a half foot mark, he is relatively slim,
looking like a young human boy of about 9 years. His head is topped by a
mass of curly brown locks hanging down almost to his neck. This is matched
by the hair growing on the tops of his furry little feet. His brown eyes
and tan complexion completes the impression one gets of a creature emerging
from rich loamy earth: overall "brownness". This impression is amplified by
his method of dress: brown breeches, a tan tunic, all covered in a drab
brown cloak. The only thing that stands out is his bright green vest that
he likes to wear.

Talus: A young half-elf of average hight, Talus grew up in Westgate on
Toril where he learned the arts of thievery and magic. Forced to flee
Westgate with his friend Kain, the pair made the mistake of stowing away on
a spelljamming galleon. Not very good in a battle, Talus prefers to skulk
around the outskirts of a fight where he can catch an opponent by surprise
and use his dagger to best effect. Talus loves the feeling of sitting on
the helm of a spelljammer and powering a ship gracefully through space.

Kain: In his late teens, Kain is a young man of average height and weight.
He is usually quiet and always shy, leery of being close to strangers and
in crowds. Kain's nervousness can be detected easily enough, the more
nervous he gets, the more pauses and filler his speech acquires. He tries
to keep the company's books in order, though he much prefers going through
the everyday routines needed to keep the STAR in shape and spending his
free time adding new sketches to his tome.

Grigree: Grigree is a tall hadozee warrior from Grommspace. He was born in
space, but spent much of his youth on planet with his parents. He left home
at an early age, signing on to a spelljamming ship. He enjoys exploring new
places and observing the "local color". Grigree doesn't warm up to people
quickly, because of the rough Common of all hadozee, but can be quite
outgoing. He strongly values individual freedom, but doesn't have problems
taking orders or acting with a group.

Seguld Guilderholme: This Tinker Gnome stands not even 3 feet in height and
weighs only 70 odd pounds. His face would appear clean shaven if it were
not for the thin reddish-brown hairline which highlights his jawline. His
nose although small still retains its bulbuous shape indicative of his
heritage. Seguld wears an insignia on his light green top, showing a lump
of coal which closes resembles the head of his mace. Across his back rests
a large arquebus which he wields with ease, suggesting that his strength
may not be proportionate to his size; and across his chest rest crossed
shoulder holsters bearing pistols. Since his return to his homeworld of
Ironpiece, Seguld has reverted from the joking merchant to the tinkering
business man. His previous disdain for the topics of death and taxes
remains, however he truly feels that he can improve things for the better,
though his designs to date have been far too risky to implement.

Holland Wellhouse: A handsome young Realmsian from the city of Durin,
Holland is an Invoker by calling. His tall and slim body is always clothed
in black, his raven-black hair marred by a silver-white streak that runs
down down the center of his head, while his gray eyes make him seem older.
A charter member of the Company, Holland has found himself more and more
slipping into the role of Captain and Spokesman, something he is visibly
uncomfortable with. Holland has a deep hatred of oathbreakers and turncoats
in general and pirates in specific. Holland was kidnaped by Herminard, an
assasin working for an old foe of his called Milken, in Chapter 5, Turn 5
(though the others don't realize this until Chapter 5, Turn 7).

Raken: Raken is still young. He lacks any major scars or mars on his body.
He does have a goettee, which is as blonde as his hair. He normally wears a
black leather jacket (when not in his armor), made from the hide of a void
scavvar. Brown sail-cloth slacks, a pair of tough rothe-hide boots, and a
deep blue cloak complete his wardrobe. This young member of the Order of
Celestian was born in Greyspace, apparently at one of the major space
ports. Despite his druidic profession, he is equally at home in the streets
as in the wilds of wildspace. Apparently, his childhood was not a happy
one, and he does not discuss it. He does have friends among the elves and
the priests of Celestian. Raken is a friendly, fairly quiet, but dependable
member of the Company of the Silent Star.

Leera: Leera hails from the village of Derron in central Sembia on Toril in
Realmspace. She is the only child of Marcus Orcbane (a lieutenant in the
Derronese guards) and Nuala Lightbender (a pampered debutante who lived
above her means). Leera reveals that it was her mother who taught her the
art of illusions. Leera is twenty years of age. She is of slight build and
medium height (Weight: 114 lbs, Height: 5'6"). She has very little physical
strength. Leera has a fair, unblemished complexion. Her light brown hair is
shoulder length and straight. She customarily wears vibrant red robes.
These robes are close fitting, and flatter her figure. Leera always wears
an emerald ring. She explains that it belonged to her mother.

Italapate: A slim ruddy-skinned human with straight black hair, Italapate
is the son of a Poscadarian Plainsman and an Atruaghin woman. He claims to
be the highest ranking shaman of Coyote on the Rock of Bral, but then, he
claims to be lots of things. The only thing for certain about him is that
he is irreverent and has little to no regard for authority. He thinks of
himself as the man in charge of morale and spiritual-wellness for the
Company of the Star, a task he approaches with humor and an endless supply
of legends about the Trickster (some of which were handed down for
generations innumerable...and some of which he makes up on the spot).
Italapate left the company in Chapter 4, Turn 21 in order to concentrate on
his shamanic studies but returned in Chapter 5, Turn 12 because of
Holland's kidnapping.

Robert Twofeather: Robert says he was discovered floating in the
phlogiston, and has no memory of his previous life. Since then he has made
his way as a spacer. Robert is an extremely short 1/2 elf, of unknown
stock. He has dark skin and features, and from just below his left ear,
down to his shoulder, is an odd, grey patch of skin. He has long, reddish
black hair that appears to be always coming loose from where he ties it
back in a pony tail. A small red songbird sits on his shoulder. Robert
joined the company in Chapter 3, Turn 9.

Vais [NPC]: A copper metagolem discovered in a dust covered secret
compartment of the captured FLOW GHOST. He was inert when discovered, but
Holland's electrical spells have revived him. Vais is sarcastic and
sardonic, but seems competent otherwise. Vais was created in Greatspace by
the wizard Tremigistus 200 years ago. He has joined the company as back-up
helmsman and medic. Vais has revealed that his purpose is to gather as much
knowledge as possible, and to write a history of the Spheres. He first
awakens in Chapter 3, Turn 7.

Allagan Bohan: A tall, handsome muscular human priest of Zeus. A native
Bralian, Allagan is tolerant of other races and religions but doesn't stand
for others mocking his beliefs. Allagan is very open about his status as a
"son of Zeus" and his background, though he listens more than he talks.
Allagan joined the company in Chapter 4, Turn 21.

Freneth Icestalker: Standing 3 and a half feet tall, Freneth has dusty
blonde hair, and a slightly darker beard, which in warm climates he wears
in twin braids down to his midchest. He has been known to wear as little as
a loincloth, but his normal attire is cut off breeches, and a sleeveless
jerkin. Like most halflings, he prefers to go without foot wear. He has
dark brown eyes that give him a sympathetic look. He has also been tatooed
extensively with seemingly random patterns across his shoulders and back.
He spent most of his life on his glacial homeworld, and has spent the last
several months among the spheres, first as the slave to neogi, and later as
a freed person on the Rock. He uses very formal and submissive form of
common when he is nervous or not comfortable, but once he becomes friendly
toward a person, he falls into the more comfortable forms. Freneth joined
the company in Chapter 4, Turn 21.

Ives Opomba: A strapping young specimen of Giffhood, Ives is a Midshipman,
2nd Class in the Giff Navy. Born, raised and trained in warships, Ives has
run into the chaotic and disorganized command structure other races seem
complied to have, but he is learning to compramise on the issue. As new
member of the Company Ives brings his background as a naval officer to
provide another aspect of 'jamming combat that he thinks is missing from
the way they handled their last ship to ship combat. Ives is learning to
watch his step aboard to avoid harming many of the small ones aboard. Ives
joined the company in Chapter 4, Turn 21.

Jax: Jax grew up on the streets of Bral and it shows. From his illiteracy
to his horrible table manners and disgusting, rotten teeth, Jax is
obviously from the
lower classes. Despite his lack of advantages Jax is eager to improve
himself and learn new skills of all sorts. He has a mind almost a quick as
his fingers
and feet. Jax is unimposing at around 5 and a halffeet and a lanky, almost
emaciated frame. His clothes and equipment have almost all seen both better
days and other owners. Jax joined the company in Chapter 4, Turn 21.

Druasnon Sunderbow (drew-as-non son-der-bow): Druasnon's most noticeable
distinction is that of his race. He is a full blooded elf however, this is
due to his father being a Gold Elf and his mother being a Snow elf.
Druasnon is obviously accustomed to a much colder climate. His homeland
description can be summed up in one word "Ice". This is one of the reasons
that he is often found wearing the lightest clothing that he can find. He
wears a grimy Blue shirt and black pants that end by being tucked in fine
riding boots. There is a backpack that is slung around Druasnon shoulder,
it has the faint scent of herbs and the jingle of small trinkets coming
from it. Druasnon is well into his third century of life and acts like he's
been kicked around a little in the mental department. He's about 5'6" and
in the ballpark of 140 lbs. Not given to excess in the eating department he
seems overly thin. He carries no weapons, and has a mysterious background.
Druasnon joins the company in Chapter 5, Turn 20, when he is hired to guide
the group to the asteroid Iceberg in their attempt to rescue Holland.

Former Company members:

Radick 'The Axe': In his youth Radick was popular with the crews of
spelljamming ships, but as time has passed his popularity has become
infamy. Those who have heard the name 'The Axe' have quickly learned to
regret it. Radick is a hunter, not of beasts, but of men. His dark hair
hanging loose over his shoulders occasionally obscure a handsome face. The
gray-blue of his eyes appear like granite as they reflect no emotion, and
his face appears cut from the same stone. Despite the low station which he
began his life at, Radick sees himself as the better of everyone. His
arrogance is exceeded by only his ability with the battle axe he bears. His
appearance is impressive, and his axe is deadly - but his expectation that
all should exist according to his will make him incredibly difficult to
bear. Only those who value his other skills are willing to try. Radick was
asked to leave the company due to personality conflicts in Chapter 2, Turn
1.

Jamila bint Setara: Jamila bint Setara was born in amongst the many isles
of Bahr Al-Izdiham, on the world that most people would call Toril. She was
attempting to find some of her family whom disappeared from a ship with all
hands leaving just a floating mystery, and was following the words of the
Noble Djinn, Ashram of the Many Winds which brought her here to complete
her quest. Jamila stood 5'7" and weighs 120 lbs. She had midnight black
hair, and sparkling green eyes. Jamila fell to her death during a battle
with pirates on the planet Shipwrecker in the Bral system. (Chapter 2 Turn
24)

Galan Aendyr: Galan hails from Tethyr, on Toril. He hired himself out as a
sell-sword and mercenary. He was somewhat reticent after joining the
company. Galan was a serious looking fellow of middle years. He wore his
ash blond hair short, and a closely trimmed beard. He tended to wear dark,
comfortable clothing when not expecting a fight, though his sword was
constantly on hand. Galan joined the company in Chapter 3, Turn 9 but was
slain by the scro in Chapter 3, Turn 21.
