Uhhh...If the wind shield is solid and can be shoved around by wind,
wouldn't hurricanes be hell? Plus, hopefully, the city has a holding pattern
above the height of most mountains, or that drifting would end kinda
abruptly some places. I doubt these'd really be problems, unless PCs got
ahold of one...but I felt obligated to bring 'em up.
On the whole, pretty cool. Anything up next? Or do I have to come up with
something to post? I might, you know...
List, you have been warned...

See Spelljammer: AD&D Adventures in Space, Concordance of Arcane Space Book.
Power sources. Right near furnaces, but far less detailed; a device that
skims power off of artifacts, providing motive power to a ship. Personally,
I think I would apply the curse of the particular artifact to whatever
vessel was being powered and its crew, but...
By the way, Adam; kudos on the "was stripped out" part. First of all, nobody
leaves artifacts lying around. Second, this lets the DM decide later, if at
all, which artifact it was. Third, PCs or NPCs can waste their own time and
resources trying to haul that thing around.
I've made a decision on my flying islands; I may write something up (not
trying to steal the spotlight or anything, just brainstorming) later, based
on the one in Gulliver's Travels. I remember being quite impressed with the
place (if not the inhabitants), so I'll borrow that idea. I won't
necessarily post, but it's always good to keep in mind.
