I had to check (J.D. Jackson, Classical Electrodynamics, sec 11.3.D), but
I'm afraid that doppler shifts in light do occur due to relative motion of
source and observer, even with special relativity. Its pretty much the same
frequency shifts as with Galilean relativity, modified for time dilation.
