        From what I've seen at the rumors site, 3e is going to more closely
resemble a Hackmaster-style game than DnD (Hackmaster doesn't really
exist, but as presented in KotDT, it's a mammoth system that pushes
combat first, roleplaying last, and has rules and charts on
everything).  From what little I've seen, conversion is going to be a
serious pain.  Characters are going to be on the lines of radicially
different; classes and races are completely revamped.  Besides, it still
isn't going to do what I want to do (aka clean up the player handbook
series, incorperate a ton of stuff from old Dragons, and simplify
combat:)
