Sounds a lot like what I heard from people about 2e.  Many felt it was
just an attempt by TSR to make more money.  No, this is not an attempt
to start an edition debate or even a flame war.  I think we'll all just
have to wait and see how 3e does (from what I've seen I'm of the
opinion Paul is spouting the truth when he says 3e isn't even AD&D any
more but rather an entirely new system).  Wouldn't it be interesting if
3e became "new coke"?  Would we get "2e classic"? :)
