Well, I do not think that this is going to work. Just agreeing on a
standard layout, so that the site does not look like a patchwork of
things, is going to be difficult.

That would still not solve the problem about the canon material.
Doing that would still be unofficial and could never lead to a
renewal of Spelljammer, I think.
Since static wanted to divide his site into an official and an
unofficial part, I actually do not see the need for this communal
library anyway, no offense.

Teamwork is all fine and well, but very large groups can easily lose
the scope of things and a clear direction, especially on the net.
Personally I think that the idea of a council that decides what is
canon and what is not, is going to work best, since it is just a
limited number of people.
Besides, something that is not deemed canon, is not termed "bad" in
any way. The only statement that is made, is that it is unofficial
and optional, that's all.
