I am a guild member and I would love to see a living SJ campaign. You can put my name on your short list. I also make it to GenCon every year, so if you need a gamemaster for a Living SJ event, you can count me in for a couple of slots no problem. The way I see it, you start a Living campaign the way you start any other campaign...publish the setup rules, character creation rules and so on on the web. I personally would recommend using unmodified SJ rules for the campaign because even people who don't read this list have access to those materials. Then, base the game at a well-described location (like Rock of Bral) and place the stipulation that every module must start and end at the Rock (like living city games always end at Raven's Bluff). Then, all you need to do is have one of our resident experts cook up a scenario and start it up at a convention. They could advertise Living SJ events on the list, list members (whether RPGA or not) that were in the area could help run slots, and before you know it everyone playing D&D has a Giff character in their PC folder again (well...maybe not everyone...but you get the idea). Once you run an event at an Origins, Gen Con, or Winter Fantasy that attracts more than 50 people, you have it started. Incidentally, for those of you that care, a guild membership is pretty cheap (like, less than $20 US) and this year I got a copy of 25th revision Ravenloft (original module revised for 2nd edition), another module called the wand of something or other, and a year's worth of Polyhedron. -- Robert Baranowski - Technical Writer Persoft - An Esker Company rob.baranowski@???????.com (608) 273-6000 Ext. 219 www.persoft.com, www.esker.com
