Magic is the reason that Spelljammer ships run the way they do. I have Space
being the same as in RL so no Asteroids with an atmosphere unless there is
some magical or technological reason. And the effects that happen aboard
ship, atmosphere, gravity, inertial dampers, ext. Are effects of the Helm or
other magical (or Technological ) devices or spells. Yes in my campaign you
either have to be in a spacesuit or have some sort of device (magical or
tech) to space walk.
