IMO, deities who don't have access to a specific crystal sphere have to rely on their fellow deities and missionary priests. For example, Gilean and Oghma might well exchange information on their respective spheres. If a priest of Oghma sought answers about Krynn, Oghma might have the info in his library--or he might have to check with Gilean, and vice versa. As a side note, Oghma is not just an FR deity; on the greater plane, he's an important figure in the AD&D Celtic pantheon, and IIRC was drawn (like most of them) from the Tuatha de Dannan.
