Priests gain their 1st - 3rd level spells through merely faith in their 
deity (IMC at least).  Since they cannot cast anything higher than that, I 
rule that the priest is the equivalent of a 6th level cleric and runs a helm 
at that equivalent level while in the Flow.  Once the ship enters a sphere 
where the deity in question can be reached, the priest returns to his normal 
level.
