Hi,

I tried to send a message a short while ago, but my server chewed it up, so
here it is again.

For those of you who are familiar with Planscape and the faction...
Q: Do Godsmen and/or Athar priests receive spells whilst in the Flow, are
they still in contact with the Source ?

Ok, a brief word of explanation (my apologies for anyone not into PS).
The Athar are a faction in PS that believe that all deities are fake and
that they should be exposed as such. Deities rely on worhipers and can "die"
if they lose their worshipers. However, some Athar believe there is a force,
being or whatever that created the multiverse. That belief may be all well
and good, but they back this up by the fact that Athar priests receive
spells !
The Believers of the Source (Godsmen) believe that all beings are
transcending to higher states and this is achieved by passing tests in every
incarnation. They're not sure what these tests are and in which direction we
are supposed to transcend, but that is a discussion for another day.
However, they believe in a Source from which all of the Mutliverse came and
Godsmen priests also receive spells !

In PS the further a priests is from the home plane of their deity, the less
influence/contact they receive and priests spell casting abilities are
reduced. For Godsmen priests, they calculate planes removed starting at the
Ethereal. For Athar priests it's the Astral.

Anyway, enough about PS. Richard Grant and others will be able to give
better explanations.

If these priests do receive spells it would be a great advantage. If they
don't, then where in the Multiverse is the Flow ?
Thanks,

Simson
PS. If you're on the PS list, I'm also going to post the question there.
