I have no idea what Paul charges for lumber in his games,
but on the labor side, I would also include fees for the shipwrights
that oversee the labor as well as fees for the time the ship
spends in the dock or drydock. Plus mark up on all of it.
Just because the shipwright company pays it's grunts
5 sp a day doesn't mean they charge their customers 5 sp
per day for the labor. Add in tools, other facilities, bookkeeping,
and other overhead. Yadda yadda yadda...
In my own games, in places like Bral, lumber is expensive stuff.
I never have settle on specific prices (other than what's reflected
in my systems), but it ain't cheap. Only so many ships cary raw
lumber as cargo, and some of that is sold to outgoing ships,
and some is used for other purposes. And since ship repair
can use up a lot of that, it's gonna cost ya'.
