The Shivuns

History-
The Shivuns are a crossbreed of the aquatic elf and shen lung dragons. 
The elves of the deep, as they are sometimes called, live deep in the
hearts of deepest oceans, patrolling and protecting their goddess Shiva
through the naturally occurring portals to the Elemental Plane of
Water.  Their cities usually tend to be vast areas miles wide and
hundreds of feet tall, with nodes and obelisks enchanted to keep the
water full of
vital air needed by other surface travelers and even the famed Elminster
of Shadowdale has been known to aid in the construction of these
monuments from his hideaway in Coliar.

Appearance-
Their skin ranges from dark golden to dark greens and blues in colour.
They usually have hair that is anywhere from blue to green and some as
far as purple. They tend to have more reptilian looking eyes,similar to
those of a dragon or alligator and sharply pointed ears adorned with
jewelry of pearls, sapphire, and the rare deep red ruby. Females tend to
have thin scales along their lower legs a bit darker than their skin
colour, and males have scales on their arms; these scales provide an AC
of 7 in those areas. Their natural AC is 10.

Abilities:
+2 Dexterity, +1 Intelligence
-1 Constitution, -1 Strength

Their great speed and agility aids them in escaping the other underwater
denizens like sea serpents, surely without their speed they would have
gone into extinction. Their cunning minds also helped in the building of
great underwater continents and vast cities. Without this they would
have never survived the harsh reality they faced after the Unhuman Wars
when they were forced into the seas. Water takes strange effects on the
bodies of the Shivuns after hundreds of years below the surface, they
sacrificed their strength for speed and they have adapted their bodies
for increased agility.

Confer Water Breathing: Once a day, the Shivun can confer the ability to
breathe water upon another individual or creature. This ability lasts
one hour for every level of the Shivun conferring the ability. For
example, a 6th level Shivun thief could confer water breathing on
another for six hours.
Trident Bonus: +1 on attack rolls when using a trident.
Cold resistance: +1 bonus on saving throws vs. cold- and ice-based
attacks, as the Shivun's body is less susceptible to extreme
temperatures.

They can breath both water and air normally as their gills are adept at
filtering both, a boon from their draconian heritage. They can also dive
to depths up to 1 mile underwater on their own or up to 5 miles when
weighted down with mass equal to their own body mass times the number of
miles desired to go down.

Bonus Proficiencies: Swimming, Underwater Fishing(fishing variant, use
same prof. scores), and a language(pick one from, aquatic elf, dolphin,
or underwater common).

Restrictions:
As they have been separated from the elven race for so long they suffer
a -2 reaction adjustment towards surface elves, and unfortunately they
have lost their resistance to charm and sleep magics due to the lack of
spell-using creatures of the deep, save the eye of the deep.

Spelljammer
They are excellent craftsmen when working with hard gems such as
hematite and amber, as well as turquoise. All of their ships receive a
+1 bonus to their SR as the Shivun mind has great possibilities and
amazing reasoning capabilities and a great knowledge of aerodynamics as
well as underwater physics. The Shivuns can also make a ship more
maneuverable by making an intelligence roll at half his score, this
increases the MC by 1 and the construction cost by 4 days per ton of the
ship.
