Ah, but you'll also recall that the particular orc in question was a
orc-troll hybrid and had more than his fair share of healing ability (and
brains; go figure) and was able to scrap with the best of them. That was
why he was being elevated - that and the fact he was kissing the admiral's
ass. But you are exactly right on the second point. Only a 'lesser' troop
was allowed to command other 'lesser' troops, never a Scro, and there was
always a Scro commanding the sergeant orc. Perhaps it would be better to
term that a orc, troll or ogre could never get above sergeant or maybe
lieutenant unless considerable battle prowess was shown.

The way I understood things was that, essentially, if you kill more you get
more.
