intergalactic planetary... planetary intergalactic... another dimension... another dimension...

Okay this may be uninteristing to some and old news to others, but I found
the following pretty cool and it's not all that off-topic.  And hell
I've just gotta tell this to someone... :)

If you've seen the Beastie Boys' video for their single Intergalactic you
would probably have noticed that it's a grand parody on the power rangers.
But have you taken a look at the Big Bad monster fighting that Good Guy
robot?  Mauve skin, squid head with four tentacle, black robe with high
collar: a mindflayer!  Granted, it's got a trident and it's taller than
your average flat building, but it's still an unmistakable illithid...
Also, the cover of Intergalactic features _a_giant_space_hamster_ bigger
than a flat building!  Could it be Wooly Rupert?  If not, it's at least a
tyrannohamsterus rex...
And finally, I heard yesterday that every album by the Beastie Boys is
modelled after a game.  So their album Hello Nasty! could very well be
inspired by Spelljammer.  Hey, you can see em on the front of Hello Nasty!
flying thru space in a sardine can...

And last but not least, I wanna add that in the Baldur's Gate computer
game, there's a ranger called Minsc who's best friends with a minature
giant space hamster (the only one in the Realm, mind you) called Boo...
