	Thanks:)
Well, I hadn't really made up a story about her background other than
this: Yes, she started off as a pirate, but she was secretly sponsored
by the Elvish Fleet itself. Basically, she handled all the "dirty work"
that the Fleet couldn't soil its hands with, such as disrupting enemy
supply lines, attacking the ships of enemies whom the Fleet is "at peace
with," and undercover work to help find and destroy other pirate rings.
Black ops type of things. Occasionally, she did attack and take lawful
merchant ships, but mainly to maintain her cover (she did her darnest to
avoid doing that *too* much; a girl mustn't have too much fun:)
In any case, she is very arguementitive, opinionated, and well, the
chances of winning an arguement with her are about the same as a 1st
level paladin's chances in the 9th layer of the Nine Hells:) While she
has gone a long way to earn the respect of her family now that she is
High Admiral, her granddaddy wasn't too thrilled with her choice of
careers in the Fleet. Heck, it was probably by his prodding that she
was "reassigned" and given Admiralship (that and well, the Fleet is too
afraid of her getting too used to "piracy" to deny her promotion:)
	Hope that helps:)
