Wow, Two excellent fiction posts almost on the same day. Interestingly, they've both got in common that the protagonist is on the Scro/Orc side of the Unhuman Wars. Paul: Bravo! Your first chapter is excellent, and though not too much action happens, I feel like the beginnings to an excellent, subtle, and very interesting character are being flushed out. I also felt like I could see the things he was seeing as he approached Spiral, and the description of his meeting six months earlier was very good as well. Your writing is very good, and I'm looking forward to the next chapter with great anticipation. I especially liked the sort of 'author's note' tag at the end where you explained what the order was that the protagonist belonged to. 'Dukagsh Tells It': Also an excellent little story, quite engaging though occasionally I felt that some detail was being sacrificed in order to keep it short. I thought you did great justice to Dukgash, he fits right in with the legend and I thought you did a great job of describing the motivations behind his taking his people into their 'exodus'. My favorite quote from him was when he killed the second bionoid 'That's why I've got two barrels'. Maybe it's just because I watched 'Tombstone' again only a couple of days ago, but it kind of reminded me of Doc Holiday's line after one of the bad guys says 'he's so drunk he's probably seeing double': "I've got two guns, one for each of ya'" Though of course in all other respects Dukgash (quite rightly) has very little in common with Doc Holiday. Again, excellent work. What a great day for SJ fanfiction! I look forward to seeing more work from both authors. - Sebastian Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
