UNPC: Darrick Rockbender

To jumpstart the UNPC challenge, I'm submitting not one, but 3(!)

Appearance: Darrick is well-groomed for a dwarf, with his beard always
neatly trimmed and his dark brown hair always in place.  Darrick is a
hill dwarf, standing only 3' 9" tall and weighs little over 140 lbs.  He
is never without his trusty warhammer or chain armor, both of which are
kept in excellent condition.  Darrick is a middle-age dwarf of about 130
standard years.

Background: This somewhat unusual dwarf is from the distant dwarf world
of Harrowhammer, located in a remote and under-populated sphere. 
Darrick spent most of his early life as a miner, but later became a
warrior in the Harrowhammer army when the world was attacked by a fleet
of orcish ships.  He served well throughout the course of the seven-year
campaign, eventually winning several medals and even command of a ship. 
However, once the war ended, Darrick resigned his commission and headed
out into wildspace aboard a trade ship.  During the long voyage, Darrick
began contemplating the meaning of life and self.  After a few months of
contemplation, as well as several visits with philosophers throughout
the spheres, Darrick followed the true course of his heart and became a
dwarvish philosopher in the fields of existence and self.  His insights
are now hailed as brilliant throughout circles of some philosophers,
while in others he is hated.  Darrick has come the conclusion that
existence is an illusion of "true reality" that exists on a higher
plane.
