I have a question about the weight of the various asteroids or what-have-you being used for the bombarment. I think I recall seeing a figure about 90 tons? Was this just an example? I ask because while pouring thru my SJ stuff for a current project I ran across a rule for bombing in the Complete Spacefarer's Guide. It says that a ship can launch a rock of up to half its tonnage.but to do so it has to be towed into the stronghold's atmosphere envelope (granted you are bombing a planet not a asteroid base) and remain stationary for a full turn while it aims. The rule also allows for bombing runs. Another thought when using the above rule in a planet's atmosphere how do you remain stationary above your target without anchoring yourself to the target? Considering that spelljammers tend to drift with the wind while in a planetary atmosphere. If it was a calm day your court wizard could always pop out and whistle up a gust of wind or like-spell and the threat goes drifting away. Just some thoughts,
