Hey all,

My thoughts are that the giff are not the race for this weapon: no flash
or loud 'bang' when it fires; it's actually an excellent sniper weapon,
no sound at all. How about one of the more exotic races with a good
magic rating, the Reigar or somesuch?

Some hi-power mage in my own campaigns came up with a spell called 'High
Accelerator' {got the idea from some novel series, whose name & author
escape me} where any object touched is imparted with incredible inertia
and can be used for launching objects up to, I think, 100 lbs weight as
deadly projectiles... the downside was the spell was only effective for
3", after which distance the object reverted to it's own motive
force/mass & fell to the ground. I can post it to the list if there's
interest, gotta dig it up. Anyways, the mage applied this spell and
wound up producing his own version of the Accelerator for the fleet he
worked for as a ship weapon, since in wildspace the projectiles escaped
gravity planes easily and then had no force to slow them down. Of
course there were some interesting side-adventures where the Arcane try
& do him in for the audacious market competition. I don't see why
someone else could not allow this in their own campaign, perhaps even on
the smaller, hand-held scale mentioned.

As for the other firearm listings, the Spelljammer DM screen has it all,
if no-one else responds by late tonight I can dig it out & post it once
I get home.
