It's part of the price of wish's open-ended nature--that is, if you use
this limit. You can use Enchant an Item, and other spells, to create a
Ring of Regeneration, worth far more than 10,000 GP. (Is it ten? I thought
it was fifty.) You could also use a Fabricate spell to create around 60
long swords (if you were high enough level and had Weaponsmithing), worth
around 900 GP; a good day's work for a mercenary wizard. (It would take
about twenty minutes to cast.)
