Me again, *grin* > > I called it FunguSpace. > Did you avoid "FungiSpace" because it sounds to much like > "Fun-Guy Space?" : ) Errm, nope, just because fungi equals pizza (at least to me) > Down right... odd. But odd is good. Phew! Good that at least someone likes it. :) Hey this came from the new Admin *yeeeah!* Congratulations while I'm at it ;) > Sounds like something > on the verge of being Cthulhoid (Fungi from Yuggoth). Yaeh. One Mi-Go Pizza please! > Push the > dreamscape towards the alien and surreal and you're there. Though I was thinking more along the lines of Matrix and Cyberpunk ... to be honest I was trying to introduce TORG's Godnet into a campaign which died just before they entered that sphere. Reality can be so cruel ... > Cool idea. I think I will have to make some use of it. Feel > free to offer up some more details. : ) Ok, here's some more: I won't make _any_ rules suggestions cause I'm so far beyond AD&D you'd certainly die laughing if i would. ;) The Symbionts: They call themselves Ha'shwa and that's about all they have in common. There is no major organization that controls them (or does the fungus actually control them as some do say???). Many a lord or mage tried to achieve this. They were at war with the Priests of (insert your favorite lawful deitie here). No one was able to gain control. No spell known can influence the fungus' dream in any way, neither may a mage or psionicist or other enter the dreamscape if he is not a symbiont and not using the regular way. The more experienced an Ha'shwa gets the more vou can see the myceles (sp.???) that form a network of everincreasing complexity beneath the symbionts skin. At first a symbiont is only able to view the dreamscape and to precieve all that hasn't been protected. Next he will learn how to create simple dream images (like Scroll copies or simple flat images no sculpturing or 3D stuff), and he'll learn how to grow knoledge-mushrooms. Then he'll learn 3D image creation. Later he will learn to make these creations 'dream-real' that means they'll be able to block the passage for other Ha'shwa. Like the dream image of a wall. He'll now be able to create mouth mushrooms. Animated creations follow and these can hurt other dreamers if they are 'dream-real'. Finally he'll be able to create eye mushrooms which is the hardest part in the control of the dreamcraft. Rumors about the Ha'shwa: They cannot procreate. - Some can some can't. Noone knows why. The Fungus controls the Symbionts. - I won't tell you, decide as is best for your campaign. *grin* By joining the fungus' dream upon death you can become an immortal part of the dream. - Well, what is immortality anyway??? Okok, this one is correct, IMC at least, but you have to be real good at dreamcraft to pull this stunt. This is as long as the fungus keeps dreaming... Should the fungus ever awaken it will be the end of all. - Hmmm, a tough one is that. It hasn't happened ... yet. Some have tried though, and you certainly won't be able to guess what my campaign was to be about ;) So much for now, should you have any questions go ahead and ask. Please.
