Re: Real- / Fantasy Space

One way to reconcile SJ with real space is to make the phlogiston
"hyperspace", and the differences in gravity due to magic.  Certain solar
systems might be more "magical" than others, where gods have more sway and
things are the way they are because the gods say so.
Gravity and air envelopes on ships can be explained as an effect of the helm.
The biggest drawback to doing it this way is that a lot of the fantasy might
have to be lost.  People going overboard, for example, should lose their air
envelopes.
