Do you mean the part where I said: 'The reason
priest classes have weapon/armor restrictions is that the god powering
them says things like "Thou shalt not don any armor made of metal, nor
shalt thou wield any weapon with an edge." '?

In that case, I meant it in a general sense, not about any priest class
in specific. For clerics, it's more like "Thou shalt not smite thy foes
with edged weapons!" and for druids it's more like "Thou shalt not wear
metal armor, nor shalt thou use any weapon other than [insert druid
weapon list here]!"

A priest of War would probably not have any of these restrictions, while
a priest of Peace (according to the Priest's Handbook) would hear "Thou
skalt not harm any being with weapons, and shall therefore only use
lassos and nets. Furthermore, thou shalt not wear any magical armor."
The list goes on and on.
