Ok if you say it like that, but u can take called shots right? If so
then u could make a called shot at the belly and give the same dammage
to recive the same effect. Wait then again I hadnt calculated the fact
the hire level PC are built (slang in NEW YORK for being real strong)

No, a human in AD&D can't take a 20 point blow to *the gut* and live.
Hit points in AD&D are a combination of luck, skill, stamina, sixth
sense, grace of the gods and (a little) toughness. That's why you can
instakill someone who's Held, sleeping, tied up, or whatever.

As an example, imagine a 1st level fighter with 8 hp, who gets hit for 7
points of damage. That's a nasty wound, probably hit him in the stomach
or something. However, let's say he survives (he had a friendly cleric
nearby), and advances to 10th level, with 80 hp. Now he gets into
another fight, and takes another 7 hp hit. He sees that blow coming a
long way away, and turns so it doesn't hit him squarely in the belly,
but rather scratches his arm - tick off 7 hp.
