In a message dated 98-07-02 01:37:59 EDT, you write: << So, can anyone give me a good explanation for the increasing amounts of xp, other than the wish to make highlevel characters rare? >> Attaining levels is a measurement of how heroic a hero is. Saving a kitty from a tree might be fine for first level characters, but later in the hero's career he's gonna have to do something better. As a hero rises in fame, he is expected to do more, give more, be more. IT's a never-ending cycle that many heroes cannot stand up to (thus retired NPCs in towns that are only 5-8th level). Levels reflect heroism in heroes, and you can't be killing simple goblins all your life...after goblins people expect orcs, then trolls, then giants, dragons.....It just goes on and on. That's my theory, you don't have to like it. Mutami My thoughts, keep your penny.
