From his address, he's on AOL. The best way for people on AOL to reply with decent quotations is to goto the Preferences menu and make sure "Use AOL style quotations" is unchecked. Then just highlight the text you want to quote with the mouse and hit reply. The AOL mailer puts in legible quoted text for easy reading.
