Helm, it was definitely Helm. That Lawful Neutral bastard. As for Torm:
he's a goody-goody Lawful Good goody two shoes. Torm the Foolish indeed.

Mmm... I don't know. Somehow "leech-like, many-toothed orifice" sounds
better than "beaked mouth" to me. It also makes for much more interesting
pics. Oh, and "magic" illithids have a far better dress code than their
"psionic" counterparts, mind you.

And as for the Illithid origins: maybe they were originally from Dark
Sun. That might explain their psychic powers. Nowadays, however, there
aren't any illithids at all on Dark Sun. This is, I think, because seeing
that their world was totally screwed up, they decided to leave and used
their plane-shifting abilities to spread all over the universe like wildfire.

Oh no! I mentioned Dark Sun. Ouch. Well, at least I didn't connect it
directly to spelljamming. *Phew*

And those non-psionic illithids? Oh, they're just form another plane. :)
