What I was trying to say was. I equate the gnomish non-magical engines
with the above team of horses. Think about it when was the last time
you had a gnomish device work the way it is supposed to.

If you don't like that approach then just use this one. Something bout
the nature of the Black Flow causes the speed difference to happen.
