I tend to give most of the sentient races more credit then that, i
consider them to be as diverse as the human race is IRL. IMC i have
multitudes of different aligned races, i can name a few friendly Goblins
from my campaign and probably more evil (non-drow) elves.
I never assume an elf will be good, or even that their cities will be,
if drow can evole into an "evil" race, why not an elven group on the
surface? The weakest races (in the grand scheme of things) make the
best, most interesting NPC's)
