  If we get real technical.... A species is defined by whether an offspring
between two parents can itself reproduce.  If the races eating one another
can interbreed and form reproducing off spring then they are the same
species and therefore are cannibals.

so are the following Mules or viable breeds?

      Half-Elves      (Human, Elf)
      Ogrillions      (Ogre, Orc)
      Half Ogre       (Human, Ogre)
      Half Orc        (Human, Orc)

Half Dwarf ... at least on Athas is a sterile off spring so Dwarves seem to
be different species than Humans.  Humans, Orcs and Elves however might be
the same species that is speciating into 3 with humans as common ancestor
(supposedly elf/orc crossbreed is impossible).  Halflings are not truly
discussed as a half breed race but I think the following might be true

        Stout -- Some Dwarvish Ancestor  so half Dwarf (Dwarf/halfling )
                might be possible.

        Hairfeet -- Some Elvish Ancestor   half elf (Elf/halfling possible)

        Tallfellow -- Human Ancestry       Half Human (Human, Halfling)

Halflings in fact seem to have interbred so successfully that the ancestral
stock seems to have disappeared leaving three distinct viable and breedable
races of halflings.

  Just some thoughts of a psuedo scientifiic nature :)
