Somebody said:
If nothing has yet been written about Earth in Terraspace, why not
set the current date on earth as pre-last Iceage. This way we can
put in a few small empires without historical contradiction - the Iceage
wiped away all trace of them, and we can run it as the beginning of an
alternate Earth timeline (where the Ice Age didn't wipe it away).

Hope that's in some way coherent.

I wouldn't do that because we might as well just make up our own planets and
create some empires. I suggest keep it as is and maybe work on some legends
such as an empire in the Antartic or even the kingdom of Prester John in
Africa (or Gog and Magog). For those purists we can say that Earth never got
spelljammer technology but those who visited Earth could have been mistaken
for the gods. An interesting myth I heard was that a wooden statue of Athena
fell from the heavens and landed in Athens and was put into the Acropolis.
Maybe a spelljamming ship was flying over and it fell out.
