Does three days in the Boundary Waters count? We're talking about two
different things, though. I was thinking of trying to hold in both solid
and liquid waste, and cutting back on fluid intake enough to not need to
urinate is a good way to land in the hospital. Holding in solid waste,
depending on what rations you're carrying, is possible.

Both liquid and solid waste probably would work their way out, but do you
want to wait for that to happen? Could make getting volunteers to scrape
barnacles harder than usual. And then there's pulling alongside another
ship when you've got urine globules or fecal matter floating on your
gravity plane -- gives a new meaning to "fouling the air envelope" :) .
