All right, quick question. How are these logos to be used? Simple question,
maybe even stupid, but *very* important. My (perhaps flawed) understanding
is that the logo is to be used on any of out sites that have any
SpellJamming material on line. The logo would be used on the index page so
that anyone could see that the page has this material, and it could also act
as a link directly to the material.

More importantly, it would serve to alert the person viewing the index page
of the SpellJamming material, in a *consistent* manner. It could be used in
a similar (but not exactly the same) manner as the Netscape and Internet
Explorer logos on so many pages.

I think all of this is a great idea.

But in looking at the submissions, even the smallest one is over a third the
width of my 1024-768 screen. A logo of that size would easily overwhelm an
index page. Because of that, it will be a lot harder to fit on an index page
without damaging the flow or flavour of the layout, if it's possible at all.
Because of that, the good idea may fail if some reject the winning image
simply because of its size.

I'd hate that to happen because the images are really stunningly nice.
Shrinking them is an option, but detail is lost and I fear that some logos
might suffer because of it.

Just a thought, because the logos are so nice I'd hate for them not to be
used simply because the winner is huge.
