Beholders cannot die because of an anti-magic ray.  Check out I, Tyrant.
 Their levitation is biological.  The beholder itself isn't magical, either,
so an anti-magic ray wouldn't kill it.  The only beholder that could possibly
be killed by an anti-magic ray is MAYBE an orbus, but I think the anti-magic
eye would just make the orbus to cease functioning, not KILL it.
