I have seen a lot of postings recently concerning the "so called" weakness
and limitations of the humanoid races.  For those of you out there who have
low opinions of these races, try taking a look at the CAMPAIGN CLASSICS
article in Dragon Magazine Annual 1.  The article considers the SCRO, and
it is VERY good.  It details the race extensively, and turns a "weak"
humanoid race into a space born civilization to be FEARED !!
