	I *have* read the all novels.  Twice. :)  All I get a feel for is
that the scro are pissed at elves because their ancestors -- many generations
ago -- were defeated by 'em,  and the elves hate the scro because scro
have taken over several elven colonies and are becoming a major pain in
their own right.  One of the only historical facts in the novels is that
whole Armistice Treaty affair, which implies that the orcs had some level
of organization, and that there was some communication between the two
sides.
